My Story
I’m Rebecca, a very proud born and bred South Gippslander based in Inverloch!
Early in my banking career, I discovered pretty quickly that I thrived when working under pressure
and overcoming the numerous challenges the financial industry presented to me daily.
Moving into real estate, I completed a business degree while working full-time and was soon given
the nickname; the Smiling Assassin; – not for my ruthlessness – but for my wizardry with trust
accounting, flow charts, procedures, and manuals.
This, I found, was my happy place.
Being exceptionally organised, accountable for tasks, setting goals, and achieving my targets quickly
became my number one driver, and it didn’t go unnoticed. Within one year, at the age of twenty, I
was promoted to managing nine offices and fifty-seven staff.
Meeting my husband in 2000, a dairy farmer, I continued to work in real estate, but like most
farmers’ wives, it became necessary to get involved in the farm operations.
This was my first introduction to dairy farming, an industry that I quickly became passionate about.
Building our life together, we soon started a family, and I left my job in real estate to embrace the most important role I’ve experienced – motherhood!
After having my children, I continued to work on the farm, combining my business management skills with on-the-job training. Understanding that there was an incredible amount of farming knowledge I needed to learn, and in my usual over-achieving style, I returned to school and completed an Agriculture Degree, and began to lay the foundation of our farms’ strategic roadmap.
Both passionate and proud, I look back at our beginning on a farm with an eighteen percent share farming agreement to today, owning our farm with over 600 animals, a shed full of machinery, and a
rock-solid resilience plan in place for the future.
The business of farming didn’t end there!
Over the years working on our farm, I was being approached by other local farmers looking for help to plan, set goals, and measure the outcomes.
Watching their businesses grow just like our own, I realised that business coaching and consulting was my true passion.
With my new vision and goals decided, I gained my International Coaching Federation (ICF) qualifications as a registered and qualified business development coach.
Supported by my formal qualifications and more than 20 years of experience, I confidently collaborate with other business and farm owners, sharing my knowledge and expertise to help them
implement realistic, sustainable growth plans.
